Commissioned by a private client, Home Mixologist was born to present an easy way for all passionate about mixology to make their own cocktails at home. The website provides a curated selection of drinks, inviting the audience to find the perfect balance in a classic cocktail or discover a whole new world in a twisted recipe.

 

Initially, the project will become live on a web page, and, further on, it will get a more complex experience on an app with tailored features — such as filters dedicated to the type of alcoholic beverage preferred or advice as to which kind of food works better with each drink. The initial project is about making it easy for people to navigate between one recipe and the other while creating an eye-catching atmosphere that invites anyone to fall in love with the mixology universe.

 

The web experience, available in light and dark modes, embraces minimalism and the beautiful photography of well-done cocktails. A menu containing all recipes is strategically placed on the footer presented on all pages of the website, allowing people to navigate at all times through a list of curated cocktails and choose another recipe with no effort.

 

To create an inviting atmosphere, all pages have a short inspiring description of the drink presented, and all recipes are quick and neat, making it easy for anyone to go through them quickly. A serifed and linear font mix was used to create contrast and a sophisticated look, building a visual identity that feels appealing to both genders.
